Knocked on my noggin. That’s what it felt like!
The other day I was writing a post on ways to attract readers to your blog. I then read it a day later and found that a third of it was missing.
That post was Blog It and They Will Come
- Maybe I did it on purpose because I wasn’t so sure of this next one. I found one post that suggested to promote your blog on Craigs List. It sounded like a decent idea; not saying it’s new, but that it might be a consideration at least. So I took a look. When I just searched for blogs there, what I found was a lot of either Right or Left wing political crapola (in my humble opinion).
Then, I took a look at some of the groups that are listed – boomers, health, dogsledding (kidding, but maybe) – and started to look at some of the communications there. I decided to defer judgment. I don’t know if it will work, but I joined a couple of groups that sounded interesting and we shall see.
- The other piece that was missing from that original post was this from Heidi at WeForWomen.Com . The suggestion is to submit to blog catalogs and directories. Being a relative newb myself, the info that was surprising to me was that there were over a hundred such directories. And she provides them in her post.
Thank you for your patience. Now I feel a little more caught up, but not a lot.
